Day 1 - Johannesburg

On arrival at OR Tambo you will be met by a representative and transferred to your guesthouse only 5 minutes away from the airport. After the long flight we will leave the day to rest, have something to eat, enjoy the bar and entertainment area or enjoy a cooling swim in the spacious swimming pool.

Day 2 - Sabie

Your guesthouse will drive you back to the airport, where you collect your rental car (from the airport navigation is a lot easier) and head downtowards the famous Panoramic Route to start the holiday with some sightseeing. In about 4 hours you will arrive in Sabie where you can enjoy the waterfalls in direct vicinity of the town. 

You will stay in a guesthouse with breakfast included and the guesthouse will be happy to assist with a dinner booking.

Days 3, 4 & 5 - Hoedspruit

Your next three nights will be spent in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate where you will stay in the bush. On the first day you will spend the day on the Panoramic Route visiting the numerous sightseeing options before going from the Highveld into the Lowveld.

Breakfast is included at your accommodation and restaurants are nearby to make sure to always have a hearty meal. There are many activities that can be done and surely you will get your first introduction to the bush and the animals. We will be happy to suggest activities for you to make sure you do not get bored!

Days 6, 7 & 8 - Timbavati

After a few days on your own you will continue to go deeper into the bush to continue your quest for the Big 5, this time in Greater Kruger National Park, a game reserve bordering Kruger National Park with no fences in between, so all animals from Kruger Park roam free in this region including the famous Big 5!

You will stay 3 nights at your accommodation with 2 guided safaris a day, all meals and local drinks included in your package.

Days 9, 10 & 11 - Balule

After three nights in one of the best game viewing destinations in South Africa you make your way to another fabulous camp with fantastic food, stunning tents and great safaris. Your family-run camp will assure that you have a fabulous stay that leaves no thing to wish for.

You will spend another 3 nights here with 2 guided safaris a day and all meals included.

Days 12 & 13 - Waterberg

After several days in the surroundings of Kruger National Park it is time to see another landscape still trying to spot as many animals as possible in their natural habitat. The Waterberg is a mountain range of approximately 600 m high and the landscape is totally different from what you have seen so far.

 

Whereas the reserve does not have the Big 5 there are other species like the eland, brown hyena and numerous birds to spot.

Days 14, 15 & 16 - Madikwe

Today is the day to move on to the last destination of your holiday and the last opportunity to look for the big 5. Situated along the Botswana/South Africa border Madikwe has the Big 5 and the game viewing is frequent. Madikwe is especially known for its numerous leopards and South Africa's highest density of wild dogs.

On day 16 you will enjoy the morning safari and then drive back to Johannesburg to catch your plane back home.
