What to expect?
In this itinerary you stay in the East of South Africa. Your guide will pick you up at the airport and be on your side at all times. First you will embark in stunning safaris before heading for the warm waters of Durban and KwaZulu Natal.
Your final stop will be in the stunning Drakensberg mountains where wou will not only sleep at very high slopes but also the drive up there will be a journey to remember!

Days 1, 2 & 3 -Balule
Your guide will pick you up after you arrive at Johannesburg Intl. Airport and take you straight to Greater Kruger National Park where you will go on your first game drive in the afternoon. Since there is no fence between Kruger National and Greater Kruger Park the game viewing is excellent and varies from large mammals to beautiful birds and interesting reptiles.
All game drives will be performed by qualified guides to make sure you get a beautiful pictures and an insight into the bush life. You will sleep in a luxurious tent with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning/heater.
Day 6 - Piet Retief
After 5 days in the bush you will leave Kruger National Park after your morning game drive in direction Piet Retief where you will sleep in a beautiful guest house. It is the ideal overnight stop on your way to the coast and will give you the possibility of resting a bit after the exhausting days in the bush.
Your accommodation also offer a number of activities which might require an early departure from Kruger Park.
Days 4 & 5 - Kruger Park
After 3 nights in Greater Kruger National Park it is time to visit its "big brother" the world famous Kruger National Park. With about 20.000 square kilometers it is one of the biggest wildlife sanctuaries in the world and the ultimate place o experience wild Africa as you imagined.
You will stay in the southern part of the park which has the highest density of animals and your chances of completing the "Big 5" are very good.

Day 7 & 8 - Lake Jozini
Northern KwaZulu Natal has many natural and splendid beauties but little can compare with the superb wildlife seen on the shores of Lake Jozini. Your accommodation will be a luxurious houseboat, soak up the stunning scenery of the Lebombo Mountains and Pongola Game Reserve.
Enjoy calm serenity on the water or the thrill of Tiger fishing. Experience the first houseboats in South Africa and up till now the only of their kind.

Days 9 & 10 - Durban
After 8 days in the nature it is time to make a stop back in civilization. You will leave to the pulsing city of Durban which is famous for its beautiful beaches and delicious seafood. There is a lot to do and to see as in most major cities, feel free to discuss your activities with your guide.
Your accommodation is situated right on the "Golden Mile" close to everything and the beach just in front of the hotel is certainly inviting you for a nice swim.
Days 11 & 12 - Sani Pass
After two days in the city it is time to leave for serenity and stunning scenery. Your destination will be the legendary Sani Mountain Pass and your accommodation is situated at 2874 m above sea level which makes it the highest pub in Africa!
The ascension itself will make it an adventure of a lifetime and the stunning views from the top are absolutely breathtaking.

Days 13 & 14 - Drakensberge
After 2 nights on top of the Sani Pass you will heat towards uKhalamba Drakensberg Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your accommodation is Didima Resort set in a stunning mountain paradise bathed in scenic beauty with rivers, streams, waterfalls, grasslands and craggy cliffs. The resort's uniquely style, symbolic of the dwellings of the San people who once lived in these mountains. Didima celebrates the ow lost culture and captures something of their oneness with their environment.
Their art has been accurately reproduced and can be viewed at the San Rock Centre as well as in small shelters found throughout the park. The Cathedral Peak area is a hikers delight, offering various routes of different difficulty levels.

Day 17- Back Home
Heading home in the afternoon, you can look back at an incredible adventure!
